Wiki Dead Frontier Portugues

Current Armours & Meshes[]

Sports Armour
20 Durability

20% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer

Level 5+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow.

Scrap Value: $ 1,050 ($ 2,100)

Made for minor protection from the hazards of athletics, such as stray baseballs. In a "normal" outbreak, these lightweight pieces of plastic would have sufficed - of course, this incarnation of the undead came with mutations that could easily crush tanks and pierce metal, so sporting armour proves to be next to useless against the N4 strains. However it is still cheap and commonly available for those whom are just getting used to swarms of zombies assaulting the outposts.
Zylon Vest
40 Durability

25% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 15+ Available colors: Blue, Green, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 10 (8) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 3,450 ($ 6,900)

Zylon, a thermoset synthetic polymer, is used in products that require high strength and good thermal stability. However, Zylon Meshes were proven to be somewhat unreliable due to the material's eventual degradation from age. Fairview's engineers remedied this by removing the sections of zylon that were most-exposed to wear and tear, and replacing them with a specialized weave of Twaron, Dyneema, and several other ballistic UHMW polyethylene fabrics. More recently, the engineers also began adding Nomex fiber into the Zylon vests, in order to make them more flame-resistant for survivors who should encounter any Burning Zombies.
Kevlar Vest
60 Durability

30% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 15+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 20 (15) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 3,450 ($ 6,900)

Kevlar Vests are a lightweight and durable type of body armour, due to Kevlar fibers having a very high tensile strength. As such, they provide excellent protection against projectiles. While being very much bulletproof, protection against the brute strength or claws of a zombie or even the melee weapons of fellow survivors is rather limited.
Flak Jacket
80 Durability

35% Damage Absorption 35 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 25+ Available colors: Desert Camo, Forest Camo, Grey

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 30 (25) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 11,050 ($ 22,100)

Flak Jackets were used as far back as World War II, to provide pilots with protection from Anti-Aircraft flak rounds. While rather weak on their own, manufacturers have used modern techniques to greatly augment the strength of these jackets, by adding mainly metal or ceramic plating into these vests. The plating makes the jackets substantially heavier, and users have to be physically fit to an extent, in order for it not to hinder movements. Strangely, there seems to have been a revival in these obsolete jackets.
Mesh SLX
80 Durability

40% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 35+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Scrap Value: $ 19,450 ($ 38,900)

The Mesh SLX Vest provides more protection than any other previous ballistic vest could, and has twice the durability. It is also much lighter than a flak jacket, owing to the lightweight synthetic fibers that easily absorb and dispel kinetic impacts, and a new type of ceramic alloy that surpasses ballistic plates by far. Further research proved that the SLX system is repairable, unlike most other ballistic vests - though it requires an experienced engineer to repair the complex web of fibers and plating.
Mesh RX-2
100 Durability

45% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 35+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 150 (100) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 19,450 ($ 38,900)

An improvement to the Mesh SLX, the Mesh RX-2 affords its wearer more protection with a re-design of the fiber weave and a new chemical composition of the plates, while still remaining lightweight so that anyone could wear it. Due to the high quality materials used in its construction, only expert engineers are able to repair it.
SN-42
100 Durability

50% Damage Absorption 40 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 25+ Available colors: Black, Green, Grey,

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 50 (40) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 11,050 ($ 22,100)

The SN-42 was created in 1942 by the Red Army. Consisting of two pressed steel plates weighing in at 7.7 pounds each, it provides decent protection from the slashing claws of zombies, while also providing protection from the force of impact. As expected, junkyard engineers and WWII fanatics have whipped up some modern replications for the good people of Fairview. The drawback to this very economical piece of armour is the weight, limiting its usage only to stronger survivors. Due to the unusual shape and color, it was quickly nicknamed the "Potato Sack".
Exterminator Mesh
120 Durability

50% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 45+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

Its sleek design and light weight makes this piece of mesh armour very attractive to survivors. The Exterminator Mesh is a heavily upgraded version of the Mesh SLX radically re-designed, allowing even the weakest survivor to wear it. Using synthetic fiber and highly refined polymers during the production, the engineers who created this armour have been credited with creating one of the best mesh systems available.
Exterminator Mesh GT
140 Durability

55% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 45+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 250 (200) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

The same engineers who built the Exterminator Mesh overworked it once again and managed to build a slightly more expensive, but superior mesh by patching up the few existing weaknesses of the previous model-- partly by using only the newest materials, but mostly by treating it with a specialized formula of ballistics gel. This gel treatment (denoted by its suffix, GT) has drastically increased the durability and protective ability of the mesh. More effective yet similar in weight efficiency to the original, the GT version replaces several core metal parts with harder and lighter materials, creating a worthy improvement over the previous version.
Nomad Mesh
180 Durability

60% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 75+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 1000 (800) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 128,250 ($ 256,500)

This new variety of mesh has started seeing use primarily among those survivors who tend to be frequent travelers in the Inner City. Nomadic survivors favor this mesh over others for several reasons; It is made from lightweight materials, allowing for its user to fight and move quickly without trouble. Another is from the armor's ability to carry many items and tools on the various patches of webbing and straps that cover the survivor. Being one of the newer variants of armor appearing on those around the city, it is rarely seen among the inhabitants of the outposts. Though it is relatively weak compared to other armors, its usefulness in the city cannot be denied.

210 Durability

65% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 75+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 2000 (1500) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 128,250 ($ 256,500)

Engineers have designed this armor to meet the needs of looters and scavengers while out finding supplies in the city. Made from heavy, dense fabric and Kevlar bands instead of steel and metal components, it allows for free, unimpeded body movement--ideal for rummaging through wreckage and debris for anything useful, and for making quick escapes should any infected draw near. Being a relatively new armor among survivors, it is an uncommon sight among those who rarely stick around the outposts in the first place.

Shinobu Mesh
260 Durability

70% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 75+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 3000(2500) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 128,250 ($256,500)

Composed primarily of thick layers of lacquered leather in the ancient Japanese style, the Shinobu mesh has been reinforced with various materials cannibalized from the many light armoured vehicles scattered throughout Fairview. This gives it an amazing strength-to-weight ratio, making it suitable for survivors of small stature or otherwise unable to use the heavier armours found throughout the city. The only downside to this seemingly bizarre combination of materials is that it takes an engineer of exceedingly great skill to reassemble the complex linkages should the Shinobu become damaged.

The Hazard Mesh is a rubberised, steel plated suit used predominantly for the protection of Secronom scientists studying the effects of the N4 Virus. Speculation has it that each suit was equipped with a narthecium to safely inject and withdraw fluids without compromising the wearers safety. Recently, these meshes have been seen appearing among survivors who have discovered them in Secronom areas, though it is unclear how many of these functioning meshes are left in circulation.

Currently released for 2500 credits (non-GM) and 2100 (GM) with counterpart helmet.

Reactive SLX
120 Durability

55% Damage Absorption 55 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 35+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Scrap Value: $ 19,450 ($ 38,900)

The Reactive SLX is the product of years of intensive research and development - a strange chemical gel that laughs off armor-piercing rounds and makes a .500 S&W round feel like a poke. Reinforced with super-hard alloys and a complex impact-reducing weave, it was only produced in small amounts for special forces units and the occasional presidential security detail due to extremely high cost.
Reactive XT800
150 Durability

60% Damage Absorption 70 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 35+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 150 (100) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 19,450 ($ 38,900)

Created by the same group who pioneered the Reactive SLX and the Exterminator GT, the Reactive XT800 armour was rumored to be the most durable armour ever known to man upon its creation. A widely-circulated pre-outbreak video shows a prototype taking five seconds of continuous GAU-8 fire, and still looking brand new after the test. Very little is known about this armour, thanks to the usual government classifications and the developers being tight-lipped about the project. Even if you are lucky enough to find one, keep in mind such a complex piece of armour can only be repaired by the most experienced and knowledgeable engineers.
Exterminator Reactive
180 Durability

70% Damage Absorption 90 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 45+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

The outposts' engineers have outdone themselves once again with another revamp of the Exterminator Mesh, by implementing very recently recovered blueprints for future armour designs from a nearby research facility. Reinforcing almost every part of the armour you can think of with the newest experimental alloys, it now covers almost the whole body with pure metal, providing excellent protection. Its effectiveness comes with two very high prices: One being the problem that its sheer weight requires almost super-human strength to wear it for extensive amounts of time, along with the extreme rarity of the necessary materials and the huge amount of time and pain-staking effort required to create this armour.
Exterminator Reactive XT
220 Durability

85% Damage Absorption 100 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 45+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 250 (200) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

Thinking about taking another try at tuning existing Exterminator Reactive armours, the top engineering squad of Nastya's decided to abolish all thoughts of cash or comfort limits within armours and instead go to the limits of human tolerability and material stability, by modifying the Exterminator Reactives to the most extreme (XT) limits. No expense was spared - everything is covered and reinforced with heavy ceramic plates, barely managing to stay flexible by use of a chemical gel, the same used in some other armours to reduce kinetic impact forces. This armour has succeeded at being the heaviest and most expensive type of mobile protection for a single human being, which in exchange will save you from more harm than you can even think of.
Bio Reactive
280 Durability

85% Damage Absorption 100 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 75+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 1500 (1000) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 128,250 ($ 256,500)

The Bio Reactive is one of the newer, stronger armours seen on survivors as protection against the dangers of the inner city. Being more durable than the pre-outbreak Exterminator Reactive XT, it’s becoming ever more popular among those who fight both the undead and their fellow survivors. Due to its heavy steel plating, it is able to withstand the raw power of mutants and heavy weapons alike. It also possesses an ability unlike any other armor; thanks to a matrix of N-2 gel pads and vibration-therapy nodes embedded inside the lining, the Bio Reactive has the ability to minimize the damage and physical pain caused by any zombie-inflicted injury. This, along with its surprising flexibility, allows survivors to take hits and flee quickly when needed, saving the skins of many lucky enough to be wearing it at the time.
Steelcase Reactive (Unique)This item is unique and as such it can only be obtained in special ways and/or is non-transferable. For a full list of such items, visit the Special Gear article
340 Durability

85% Damage Absorption 100 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 75+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Scrap Value: $ 128,250 ($ 256,500)

The outpost engineers have pushed their improvisational skills to the limit by creating one of the strongest suits of armour to date: the Steelcase Reactive. Using modified blue prints of the pre-outbreak Exterminator Reactive series, they designed a suit of armor consisting of multiple layers of armored steel shells (as denoted by its name, "Steelcase"). The layers alternate between molybdenum/vanadium-alloy steel, Inconel (an extremely strong, formerly-trademarked steel super-alloy once used in jet engines and rocket engines), and Monel (another TM'd super-alloy, once used in making jet engines and marine anchor cables). By alternating layers of these three alloy steels, engineers created an armour that is all but indestructible: Not only is the Steelcase tough enough to withstand dozens of powerful blows dealt by large mutants, it also has no difficulty shrugging off any weapons fire it receives - it can even withstand the power of the GAU-19 for a time. Thanks to the combination of its unique components (scavenged from a variety of sources), the armour's versatility proved so effective that in the end, not even the pre-outbreak armours could compete with this bad boy!

This armour could only be bought from the Credit Shop for 2500 credits (2000 for Gold Members). It was on sale from June 14th, 2014 until July 10th, 2014.

50% Damage Absorption 50 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 45+ Available Colors: The Corpse Carapace comes in only one color scheme, shown in the thumbnail

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 1200 (1000) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

A strange, powerful suit of armour. Crafted from the bones and flesh of the infected themselves, this armour is the protective complement to the various Corpse Weapons. Those who own this armour have claimed to feel a strange, animal-like ferocity when fighting the undead-- almost as if they were zombies themselves. Whether it is the influence of the undead's fury and hatred towards the living, or simply the feeling of sheer power experienced by donning this highly durable armour, no one can say for certain. One thing is for sure, though-- even the undead exhibit an instant of hesitation when confronted with an attacking survivor wearing this unnerving shell of bones.

Added Oct 15, 2011. A special , unlootable item released to celebrate Halloween 2011. It was on sale in the Credit Shop until Nov 10th 2011.

60% Damage Absorption Repair by Engineer Level 45+ Non-Transferable Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

The Dusk Mesh is a rarely seen armour, made almost purely out of synthetic black fibers of an unknown yet lightweight material, which provides a lot of security while obstructing its user not much more than air itself. Being unavailable on the normal market, forbidden to trade or sell and even more of a status symbol than a highly valued piece of armour, the Dusk Mesh is sold only by AdminPwn himself to those who prove themselves worthy of being called true elite survivors.

This armour cannot be found in the city but is available in the Elite Shop for $700,000.

Scrap Value: $ 40,250 ($ 80,500)

A suit of armour even rarer than the Dusk Mesh was never expected to exist, but apparently a new type of armour called "Dusk Reactive" recently appeared as the main defense of some of the most experienced survivors known in Fairview, carrying the trademark black of armours crafted by AdminPwn's master engineers. Nothing is confirmed, but the few survivors who have heard of this armour babble on about powered suits, nanotechnology and secret government alloys, which AdminPwn's engineers snicker about. It is suspected that this armour is only available at the Elite Shop, akin to the Dusk Mesh.

This armour cannot be found in the city but is available in the Elite Shop for $1,000,000.

Tatakau Reactive
390 Durability

85% Damage Absorption 100 Strength Required Repair by Engineer Level 75+ Available colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Green, Grey, Red, White, Yellow

Price:The amount of credits required to purchase the item in the Credit Shop, if available. The value in brackets, if added, is the discounted price for Gold Members. 4000 (3500) Credit(s) Scrap Value: $ $128,250 ($256,500)

Tatakau Reactives were originally conceived by a powerful warrior caste of survivors, who's access to resources and material had been the prime factor of their place of power among other factions within Fairview. Combining blue prints from experimental armors with the skills of experienced and creative artificers, the end design was a masterfully crafted armor capable of absorbing terrible damage, and keeping the wearer safe from harm. The armor itself, though rare and in no short abundance, is the perfect choice for those who prefer hunting larger targets, or finding themselves in protracted engagements with well equipped adversaries.

The Scarab Reactive is a relatively new armor variant that has appeared among the warrior castes of Fairview. It's armored plates and body glove underneath provide ample protection from incoming projectiles, as well as the claws and talons of the infected and larger, more dangerous beasts. Most interesting of all is the presence of multiple external light sources, leading some to speculate that the armor is powered internally. However, until the engineers can get their hands on such a piece, it will continue to remain a mystery.

The Vengeance Guard first came into existence during the dread black winter of the year 2020. In this time of conflict and famine, a coven of desperate engineers came together to collaborate on producing a war-plate capable of withstanding a direct hit from the dreadful and powerful beasts that prowled the perilous streets above. After months of ceaseless toiling, planning and production, the first set of these nigh impervious Reactive's were conceived. Through trial and error, the most powerful armor to date surfaced among the re-surging warrior castes of Fairview, dubbed 'The Vengeance Guard'.
