The new weather system is pretty awesome, and there are a few things I wonder about:

There have been reports (rather isolated ones) of better loot during fog. Is there any way to confirm this?

How is the weather cycle determined? Is it time based? Do areas (blue, green, yellow, orange, red, black) share the same weather, or are they based around each outpost? Will there be any noticeable differences in the way zombies act in different types of weather?

Also, it might be a good idea to mention that when it's foggy, it is far more difficult to see your crosshairs. Kind of obvious, but someone's going to complain about it not being mentioned. Mr.Buckethat, esquire. 18:38, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

I doubt any weather condition affects loot rates. There's a lot of speculation about what affects loot, but from my experience it's only affected by gold membership or lack thereof and obviously the area you're in; the harder the area the better the loot. According to my observations, weather changes are pretty much random and can last a few hours, there are no distinguishable patterns. However, it seems that weather is identical at a given time for every outpost, which means everyone has the same conditions anywhere they are at that moment. Might be just bad science on my part though. I haven't noticed zeds behaving differently. In conclusion; weather conditions are just a cosmetic change. Sovq 09:50, October 30, 2011 (UTC)
